Hi Susan,

There are a couple of things you can do here.

1. Have your friends use the free Notation Player to view and hear (and print) your scores. The download link for that is www.notation.com/DownloadNotationPlayer.php You can just send them the .not file, and they can play it to hear it, as well as print it to have a hard copy if they want it (they won't be able to do any editing as Player is just .... a player/viewer )

2. Use a "virtual printer" like PDF Creator (PDFCreator)
or Cute PDF (www.cutepdf.com, the free one) to "Print" PDF copies of the file for emailing to your friends. In this case, you would use File/Print, then select the PDF "printer" (eg. PDF Creator or CutePDF) to save a PDF file of the score.
