Hi,
After opening the .mid file in Notation Composer (not in Notation Musician), you can copy/paste it into the range of measures that you want it in.
For drum grooves, though, there's an alternative you may want to consider.
MIDI Drum Files (
http://www.mididrumfiles.com/) has a lot of free tracks, and used to have a newsletter sign up (don't know if he still has it) where you could receive more free ones each mailing. You can also buy a boatload of some hundreds of grooves. There are also free ones around the internet you can get by searching for "midi drum files" (the above link will come up first
)
