Bodinus demonstrates periodic phrasing; places more melodic material in the upper two voices, while the lower voices tend toward an accompaniment texture, including a more simplified bass than is typical in baroque style. In short, Bodinus embraces the style galant that coalesced in the first quarter of the 18th century. One might characterize his style as incipient proto-classical.
