Hi,
It sounds like the drum staff is not selected as a drum instrument (MIDI standard, gotta love it
)
1. Use the Staff/Select button for the drum staff, or Staff/Staff Setup
2. Make sure that (a) the channel is set to 10 (MIDI standard for drum staff) and (b) that the "Drum instrument" box in the lower left is checked.
