Howdy,

i do have a USB compatible MIDI keyboard but i can't play it!

Sherry responds:

I have a midi keyboard, too, and I don't play keyboard worth squat. But I do find it very helpful in entering music into Composer because even though I don't play it very well to listen to, I can bang out rhythms and dynamics ("loudness" of notes) quite well. I did have to learn to ignore the incorrect pitches Then, I just go back and adjust the note pitches as needed. Composer can record all the rhythms and dynamics on the first pass (or multiple, if I screw up - it has some great recording/punching in features for this), and then I just tidy up the pitches, which is also easy to do.

I find this to be a much quicker method (for me) than some of the others for things I'm composing from scratch, or from memory. It's just one of many ways that you can enter notes into Composer.

ttfn,
Sherry
