Hi,
The Options page is not designed to be closed - it's kind of like the wallpaper for the program
I just tested it on my machine, and nothing happens when I try to click the "X" to attempt to close that page (ie. I didn't get an error message either.) Perhaps you can try reinstalling the software to see if that clears up the error message problem.
