Default Beyond the Sea Duet

“Beyond the Sea” was written in 1945 by Charles Trenet, Albert Lasry and Jack Lawrence. In 1958, pop singer Bobby Darin made the song a hit.

This arrangement is not a copy of the Darin recording, but is done in the “pop swing” style used by many of the popular singers from way back in the “Swing Era”, up to modern times. As I have done in a number of recent duets, I have modified the attack and duration of many of the eighth notes in order to approximate this style of play. As you play along with Notation products, try to match the syncopation you hear.

If you would like to see the lyrics or the chords, you can use Composer commands to display them: for lyrics use qsl; for chords use qscn.
