Hi,
Yes, you can use Voices to transcribe these types of "overlapping" notes.
Quickie:
- Notes and Rests-> Notes (add mode)
- Click the "Lower voice" button (far right button on Notes detail palette)
- Enter the two whole notes
- Now click the "Upper voice" button (next to lower voice)
- Enter the other notes.
