Re: Unable to associate .not file with Notation 4 (Win7)

Okay. A system glitch it is, which I haven't yet fixed. Tried a reinstall of Composer 4, Win7 will still not associate .not with it. Nor will it associate with Composer 3! So my machine is doing a...

Re: Unable to associate .not file with Notation 4 (Win7)

Therein lies the rub... I'm trying both of your preferred steps but (1) Notation 4 doesn't appear in the list Win 7 offers. nor does Notation 3! wqhich is still on the machine. When I try via the...

I accidentally associated .not files to the wrong program in the "default programs" segment of the Start Menu (Win 7). When i went to fix it, Win 7 allows me to browse for Notation 4 but will not...

Re: Spanish Song

For a whole lot of reasons, I haven't been active in these forums for years, even though I use Notation Composer almost every day. But I saw this and thought I'd have a listen AND a look (that's...

Re: SATB score writing

I do that when I absolutely have to...but it's then impossible to separate one voice from the other or turn it back into single voice. That means re-entering the entire lot. (example: Sop and alto...

Re: SATB score writing

I'm in the middle of scoring large slabs of an opera and its 300 pages, not 200... Here's how I handle the problem. bear in mind I'm writing and scoring in English, so the words have to be both...

Re: Opera with notation composer! Really!

Exigencies of workshops: this scoring is for: ...

Finally, in November 2014,...

Re: Notation Software to transfer ownership and expand worldwide support

I'm so glad that Notation will continue on. I'm at the point where stuff is so complicated the final has to be on the appallingly time-consuming Sibelius, or in some cases multi-inputted via Sonar,...
