This is another in a series of Christmas/Holiday duets that I've scored for my wife and I on Soprano and Alto Recorders, respectively. "Caroling, Caroling" was written by Alfred Burt in 1954. Nat "King" Cole made a popular recording of it that can be heard on You Tube.

Songs in this series are not too complex, but some of the keys may be challenging to some players who haven't been playing for very long. The Holidays are coming. I hope you, your family, and friends will get some pleasure out of playing these duets.

The final eight measures are repeated, and when you play it the second time through, the last four measures have a ritardando (marked 2x rit...). If you play along with Notation Composer, you will find there is no ritardando built in. The proper way to handle this would have been to have a first and second endings at four measures in, with the ritardando in the second ending. However, if I wrote it that way, the printed output would spread to two pages -- not what I wanted for playing from paper.

Enjoy! And have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
