In my opinion, this is the coolest sounding song I've ever composed. I don't know how horrible your sound card's midi sounds, but mine sounds reasonably ok. You can hear my recorded version here:

I would include the .NOT file but it exceeded the file size limitation by 32k. 500k is way too small for a maximum uploadable file size.

Feedback is requested. http://www.notation.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

Howdy Alex,

I've just upped the limit for uploaded files. We've had other users who have hit limits as well. Please do try and upload your .not file again. And thanks for sharing a link for the mp3 for comparison!

I'm listening to your song as I'm watching a storm rolling out over Lake Huron (one of the Great Lakes). This piece evokes the imagery and feeling of what the storms can get like out here - lots of wind whipping around, fields rippling, trees swaying (we've had great big ones bend nearly to the ground at times, and the weeping willows are a sight to behold in a storm), and just general maelstrom. Then the end is just like the song - slows down and finally just dies.
Very cool accompaniment indeed http://www.notation.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif

You have a lot going on here - quite comparable to a number of symphonic works out there ("Flight of the bumblebee" comes immediately to mind). One thing that I often find to be a lot of fun is to swap instruments around for compositions and listen to the results. I really enjoyed hearing your recording, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you did as well!

ttfn,
Sherry

I think I won't be changing it any further. So this is probably the final version of the song.
