Can't tie notes in first ending to repeat

Hi,

I'm working on notating a piece that has a first and second ending. The last notes in the first ending should tie to the notes at the beginning of the repeated section, but I'm getting "There is not an adjacent note of same pitch for tie" error message.

How can I fix that? What other information do you need?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

Do you mean something like you have measures 1-8, with an ending at m8 which has notes that should tie back to beginning notes of m1?

It's not possible to do a "real" tie, but you can simulate it on the score by using a Slur (Expressions palette, Slurs are the third button). During playback of the file you will hear the "note on" rather than a true slur, but it will look correct for a real live musician to play it correctly.

Sherry

Sherry,

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I guess I'll have to slur my notes, then.

Thanks,
Andy

(P.S. - and thanks for getting rid of that idiotic other post of mine. - A ;))
