Igbo Hymn, "In Thanksgiving and Love"
 

This is a very popular church song in Nigeria. (I have also seen it called "Senegalese Hymn", as I said in my other thread songs spread by ear in Africa and their origin is hard to trace.)

There are two .not files, one is just the song and one is for a backing track. I have heard the song sung a capella, with drums, and with drums and organ (yup!). The high school choir I lead sang this and everyone loved it.

Thanks for sharing these! I'm listening now (again!) to the "full choir and drums" version - this is great that you've been able to take "music by ear" and put it in a form that many others can now enjoy, as well as take and perform :)

Maybe we'll have to do a "Christmas around the world" for our kids' program next year..... inspiration!
