Recorder Duet Sonata

1 Attachment(s)
Included is a new duet put together with the previous two into a three movement sonata. (Second movement is the latest piece.)

The duet texture allows harmonic ambiguity while motivating a need for contrapuntal interest. Writing for specific, familiar instruments gives the process a definite concreteness and provides a (verifiable) challenge to "keep it real."

The ranges and keys in the second two movements are at easy to intermediate level. Rhythmic issues are more advanced. Second movement should flow smoothly between groupings of twos and threes.

Re: Recorder Duet Sonata

Nice, Walt. I particularly enjoyed the contrapuntal effects starting in measure 32, and Section 3 at measure 101. Thank you for sharing.
