Exporting Individual Voice Parts

Hi Everybody,

First, please forgive. I'm new to music software. I just discovered Notation Composer this week, and along w/ PhotoScore Lite, have been able to scan in a couple of pieces our holiday chorus is doing, put them in composer and isolate the alto line to practice.

This is so cool.

Now I'd like to be able to share this with others. I have exported as .mid and .kar, and experimented with the player.

What I would like to do is this: Export the piece as I have practiced it, with the alto (or other) part louder than the rest, or the others muted, or whatever.

It does not appear that I can do that though. Is that correct? Or does anyone else have ideas about how I might do that?

I guess I could create 4 .not files, one for each part.. an imperfect solution, but I could live with that if I have to.

How do others do this?

Thanks,

Suz

Re: Exporting Individual Voice Parts

Hello Suz,

Welcome to Notation Composer and the forum.

The answer to your question is no, there currently is not a way to set a louder volume for Instrument #1 or Instrument #2 depending on whether the part (selected from the list of parts in the main menu) is for just Instrument #1 or Instrument #2.

That's a good question. I've added task #2397 to enhance the "part" feature of Composer, so that you can increase the volume of an instrument in just that part while leaving its volume at its normal in other parts.

Cheers
