Wanted to share this version transcribed from Eric Clapton on The Chas & Dave TV Christmas Special 1982.

One has Clapton's guitar solo, and the other lyrics.

Good capture, Peter. That's a lot of hard work. And thanks for the You Tube reference. I had never seen/heard "Slow Hand" do this title.

Very enjoyable, Peter.

I especially like the human feel that you've achieved with triplets and a few tied anticipations of the beat (and no manipulation of the midi tempo!). Makes a nice compromise for the notation, giving a good feel yet being fairly easy to read.

Thanks

Walt

Walt. Thanks for the kind comment.
I only attempt to transcribe piano-based arrangements I really like and with a simple bass-line regardless of the class of music since I it requires painstaking analysis through repetition, a tedious process - unfortunately I'm not gifted enough as a musician to re-create it otherwise. Also I need a written record to refer to from time-to-time as my memory's pretty short-term.

Hi Peter,

On the off chance that you may find it interesting and have not yet seen it, I would like to point you to the "Something" duet I arranged for the "Learning and Teaching" subforum at:

I had quite a time trying to capture George Harrison's guitar solo, and your capture of the "Slow Hand" solo from "Goodnight, Irene" reminded me of that effort. I know you put a lot of time into this capture.

Ralph
