Selection of Notes in Composer 2.6
 

Hi,

There is a problem in Composer 2.6, when selecting notes of a chord.

Under certain circumstances several notes of a chord are selected even if one wishes to select only one note of the chord. The effect varies to some degree with magnification.

The lowest note of a chord can always be selected without selecting unwanted notes. When selecting notes above the lowest note, other notes are selected, if closer together than a fifth. A note of a chord that is horizontally offset from the other nots in the chord can be selected without selecting the other notes of that chord.

If one note is selected anywhere in the score, there is no problem selecting notes of chords, when holding the shift key down while clicking other notes.

Hi Herbert,

Thanks for your report, and your research into a workaround.

I've reported this for fixing. In the mean time, thanks for your work around, of selecting a single note and holding the "Shift" key.
An alternate work around is to click the note you want in the chord (which incorrectly selects all notes in the chord) and then use the up/down arrow key to select the note you want within the chord note group.

I apologize for the added hassle with either method.
