Christmas/Holiday Duets - Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod)

"Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod)" is not really a Christmas/Holiday song, but it is included on many Christmas/Holiday collections by various artists.

This "Ave Maria" version has an interesting history. The original piece was composed by Johan Sebastian Bach, entitled "Prelude No.1 in C Major". Gounod "improvised" the theme we know and love, including the "Schwencke measure" added somewhere in time by Christian Friedrich Gottlieb Schwencke. I have to admit, I don't know which measure this might be in my score.

As in many of my recent pieces, you can use Composer commands to display the lyrics (qsl) or the chords (qscn).

Happy Holidays!
