drop an octive
I transposed a song to alto sax, but it put the notes way above the normal range. How do I drop it an octive?

Re: drop an octive
Hi Skelly,
Select the notes you want to drop an octave and hold the Shift key while you hit the minus on the keypad. If you want to drop every note in the staff, you can select them all by clicking the arrow icon to the left of the staff, they type (lower case letters) "qcrn" without the quotes. This will turn all the notes blue. all best, mgj |
Re: drop an octive
I do this by using the "transpose actual notes" and adjusting by 12 half steps.

Re: drop an octive
Hi guys,
The quick and easy method: 1. Select the note(s) you want to shift in pitch. 2. Hold "P" (for pitch) and press either the Page Down or Page Up button to move the pitches by an octave down or up. Enjoy :) Sherry |

Hi folks,
I should mention that the shortcut method I mentioned only works in Notation Composer. ttfn, Sherry |
