Hello Kombrig...Lady of Spain

Hello Kombrig...Lady of Spain is almost a mandatory part of an accordionists' repertoire along with "Life in the Finland woods"

Dick Contino's version of it is supposed to be the be all and end all of it and it is indeed very good but I have heard others who made a great job of it....Myron Floren comes to mind here. Anyway!!! again a sharp key, Boy! you must Love sharps, I haven't seen it in that key before, I believe it must be that you play a button accordion and therefore all keys are fingered alike. I know that the sharp keys are more difficult on a piano accordion. Once again...Thank you, there are several parts in the arrangement that I can apply to my own.........

Have a Good one......TTYL........ Derek.

Hi, Derek!

You are really hate sharps, Derek, I know. I'm so sorry!
But I hate "white" keys (C and Am) as much, as you hate sharps\flats. I'm just joking, never mind...

If serious, I'm playing the music in all 24 keys. An amount of sharps\flats - doesn't matter for me! But really does matter - is a finger convenience and a QUALITY OF SOUND. As a matter of fact, I build the order of pieces on my show in DECENDING CHROMATIC. For instance: C - Bm - Bb - A - Abm and so on. Full circle - 24 pieces - takes about a 1 hour of time. It is perfectly convenient!

I got to tell you, Derek, my favorite keys is: E flat minor and C sharp major. The most beautiful pieces I play in B major.

You betcha, Derek. And you can see my pictures here:

Be happy.
