Symphony 8 in a minor "The Great"
 

"Great" - as opposed to Symphony 1 in the same key.

I. Allegro (starts with bar 1)
II. Adagio (starts with bar 24)
III. Andante (starts with bar 44)

First movement is based on one of my organ improvisations.

Andante is somewhat march-like, with some disonances at the beginning and somewhat unstable tonality later. Ends with sarcastic passage of the first violins.
