Hi Sherry,

I have tampered with Schubert’s music, using Composer 2.6. Has Schubert retaliated?

The attached file has display errors of notes. The sound is ok. Bars 35 to 66 are a repeat, except that I have changed bars 49 and 50, which were originally identical to bars 17 and 18.

The display of bar 50 is deficient. If you modify the bar, the high voices staff behaves independently from the low voices staff in respect to the error.

I suppose anything is possible ;)
Please forgive my lack of musical understanding here, but since you changed bars 49 and 50, and since I don't know what those changes were, I'm not sure what the "deficiency" is that you're referring to. To help me understand the problem better, can you please let me know (1) the specific steps you took (2) what you saw versus (3) what you expected (or should have) seen.

Maybe I just have "morning brain"... I haven't had tea nor coffee yet, and it's late ;)

Hi Sherry,

The music is in the meter of 3/4 time. Bar 50 contains 4 beats in the upper voices staff and 3 beats in the lower voices staff. The problem relates to tying of notes. If you remove the tie between bars 49 and 50 the problem is no longer there.

I'm picking up this thread, as Sherry is a music camp now for 5 fun days.

I definitely see the problem in your Schubert .not file.

I was able to recreate the problem from scratch in two steps:

Hit the equal sign "=" key to add the ties. Then the problem shows:

I'll fix this in an upcoming 2.6.1 maintenance release. This is task #2327. So far, this is only one of two bugs scheduled for fixing in the 2.6.1 maintenance release.
