Ees Dna Emoc

You have read the title right. I have been working with a song I wrote a few years ago titled "Come and See". I just kept staring at the sheet music and wondering; what if I turned the score upside down on the music desk and played it? What would it sound like? Well I did. I turned it upside down reversing EVERYTHING including the clefs as well. I must say it turned out better than I had expected. So I thought I would share it with you all to see what you thought. The original score was written for the piano, and later expanded for strings and winds. I just played the piano part for this exercise; finding it more suited for the harpsichord. I am giving you .not files for both pieces, and links to the pieces being played by me. (Sorry the older version has strings.) Have fun!

Hi James,

This is not new, turning sheet music upside-down and playing it. There are other methods of creating note sequences, for instance by drawing random shapes onto sheet music paper and converting crossing lines into notes. What is the point?

Cheers,

Herbert

I do like the title - Ees Dna Emoc” - very prophetic.
