Hey, Jeffery - pardon me for the inexcusable time lapse from 01-31-2020 'til now. I'm not used to using Private Messaging in the Composer fora. So, if you see this PM - it was a social goof on my part that I didn't see it. In answer to your question - I was trained (partially) at Berklee School of Music (now, Berklee College of Music). I only studied a year and a half before I joined the USAF Band in D. C.. but both at Berklee and in the USAF Band, we turned our scores in transposed. That was probably a Band requirement, because I don't think the USAF Band copyists would transpose for you - I don't remember the edict when I first moved to the Arranging Staff, but it was real. I do enjoy your music! Keep them coming. Ralph Rayner

RRayner, I can't speak for the Forum or it's message system. . .but, I did request you as a "FRIEND" because of the kind words you gave in response to my post. So, if you agree, maybe we can communicate directly or via Forum.
I have been looking through all of the past posts and have come to the conclusion that you (and several other forum members) seem to post Transposed Sheet music from un-copyrighted music. Is this what the forum is for? or, is that just a way to be safe about your own original music? I guess I could try to transpose some popular music to the forum format for others to peruse. . .I like your Bach and Sonatas, Is that the Accepted foray?
I look forward to your friendship.

Thanks for your comments, Ronald. I am sorry that it took me this long to see your message. I wonder what arrangement you are referring to? Ralph Rayner

Downloaded the .not file; enjoyed listening to it; will play for our son, he loves jazz; one thought that came to mind was song reminds me of Stan Kenton from long ago (1930's)
