So, I'm running windows 8.1, and notation composer has worked fine, but suddenly when I went to open it up, it acted like it opened, except the only thing visible is the tutorial box. when I open a .not file, it opens, but there is no display, just the desktop. I can even hit spacebar to play the opened file and hear it. Its like its open, but everything is minimized, even though it isn't. Anyone have any theories or ideas on what I could do to solve this?

Hi, Pathos:

That's a puzzler.

Have you re-booted since this happened? That might clear it up.

The closest I can come to reproducing this is to manually minimize an open window and then move it down until it (almost) disappears below the Windows task bar. At that point, I can still play it with the space bar, but I can't see it (I actually didn't quite make it disappear, in case I couldn't get it back). Is it possible that that has happened?

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Please try the following:

Run Composer
Mouse-hover over the Composer icon that is in the task tray along the bottom of your screen so the larger "thumbnail" shows up.
Right-click on that thumbnail, and select "Maximise" from the list.

That should force the Composer screen to be maximised on the monitor. Let me know if it doesn't :)

Sherry
