extra rest being added in step time

Hello,

I am using step time recording, and for an unknown reason an extra eight note rest is being added at the start of the bar.

It is a piano score with 2 staffs, time is 3/4

I select a half note and move the selection point to the first position. when I play a note on the keyboard, I obtain an 8th rest followed by a half note (or chord). The notes are accurate, however the extra rest is always showing up.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

thanks for your follow-up, after restarting the application, I am no longer able to reproduce this behaviour.

I will post a screenshot if it occurs again.
