Entering Lyrics

Hi Guys...Is it possible to enter lyrics on the timing of the staff rather than the melody note? For eg...If I have a chord that im sustaining for the whole staff, i want to enter maybe lyrics on all 4 beats if the time signature is 4/4 for example. But it seems like NC only allows one to enter on the melody notes. I can obviously use the function that allows one to enter text freely, but then i sit with the problem of having the lyrics not lining up exactly (which then makes capturing the second verse more challenging)....Is there a solution?

Hi,

The current solution would be:
1. Enter the quarter notes (in your example) where you would want lyrics.
2. Enter the lyrics.
3. Tie the notes.
