quantizing

Isn't there a way I can quantize before recording to avoid all the messy looking notation. I know you can try cleaning up AFTER the midi input. Tell me how I can avoid all but 1/8th or 1/16th notes going in. Thank you.

Hi,

You can set your default Transcription settings (Setup/Transcription options) to minimize "messy" notation. Probably the most helpful settings for you will be (1) check the "Remove overlaps of notes" and (2) "Remove rests smaller than..." and check either 16th or 8th.
