I'm trying to find a software and procedure to extract the lyrics and other text from printed sheet music. Capella-scan does a great part of it, storing it neatly in MusicXML for further processing. But I have not found a way to perform batch jobs for recognizing and converting OCR'ed text with Capella.
Do you know a command line interface to Capella, or other scanner software tools which are tightly integrated with quality OCR?

Hello,

It's not clear to me what you mean by "a way to perform batch jobs for recognizing and converting OCR'ed text with Capella".

Do you want to automate the editing of several MusicXML files that have been created by Capella-scan? If so, then that is relatively easy to do, because MusicXML is a text-based file format.

For example, you could use Gammadyne's File Substring Replacement Utility to do text subsitution in many MusicXML files at the same time, changing all occurences of "Mozart" to "Scheff" if you wanted to plagarize Mozart's music :-)

However, perhaps I misunderstand your question.

Cheers
