Here's a Latvian peasant song, written in the style of my poular Latvian Folksong Suite No. 1, and based on the Latvian folksong "Gani Dzina".<center><table border=1><tr><td>http://www.notation.com/discus/icons/attachment_icon.gifLatvian Peasant Song

Dr. Kalve,

Delightful and nicely orchestrated. Perhaps it might become part of a suite?

Ives does seem, indeed, neglected. I don't know why--his "Holidays" Symphony is among my favorite things. But on the afternoon three hours of a mostly classical station, I can't recall Ives having been played, at all. But neither do I recall Finzi or Ireland, whose Clarinet Concerto and Clarinet Sonata, respectively, I listened to a bit ago and seem worthy of a niche during a 75 hour week. Come to think of it, a list I might make of undeserved neglect would get depressingly long.

all best,
