A fun
way to learn music notation.
|
||||
| MidiNotate can help you learn to read music notation: | ||||
| Use MidiNotate's built-in Internet browser to find and download the MIDI file for a song you know. MidiNotate will immediately convert it to sheet music, displayed on the screen. | ||||
| Use MidiNotate's Extract Part command to show just the voice or instrument part you want to learn. | ||||
| Let MidiNotate highlight notes and lyrics as it plays back the song. A vertical cursor moves across the score to show the current beat | ||||
| Ask MidiNotate to slow down the tempo, even as slowly as one tenth of the normal playback speed, so that you can better see what notes are being played. | ||||
| You will soon start associating in your mind the music notation that corresponds to notes that you hear. | ||||
| Using MidiNotate as a tool to learn music notation is particularly effective if you are also studying music with a teacher or friend. | ||||
