Hello Everyone,

I just thought I would post my attempt at a little riff. I would be interested in what you think of it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Daniel,

I enjoyed your composition immensely. I particularly appreciated your use of the hammered dulcimer. It was my second wife who introduced me to this instrument and I grew to love its unique sound. Unfortunately, I never learned to play it myself, though I would love to do so.

As an experiment, I changed the piano and violin tracks over to dulcimer, muted the drum, and played it as a solo. It was wonderful. The dulcimer is capable, in the right hands, of sounding like multiple instruments, and your piece, payed this way, made it sound thus.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for your nice comments. I favor the piano but I like how the dulcimer enhances the piano's voice.

I have a tremendous amount to learn about composition. I have been studying piano for just over a year now but I have always been drawn to full orchestra sound.

I believe there are a few unorthodox chord progressions in this piece but I go strictly by ear. This is probably wrong but I am learning.

Thanks again

Daniel Ankrom
