Please consider making more replaceable fields available for use in the formatted layout. <songtitle>, <part> are a good start, but why not:

1) everything that was specified in the 'song title and authors' dialog box; e.g. <copyright>, <lyricist>, etc..

2) <tempo>, which might expand to the 'beats per minute' tempo at that point in the tune

3) <pages>, which might expand to the total number of pages in the formatted part, enabling me to annotate a part with something like 'Page 2 of 3' or whatever...

Hello Jonathon,

Good ideas.

quote:

Several folk have already asked for this. It's fairly high on the priority list.

2) <tempo>, which might expand to the 'beats per minute' tempo at that point in the tune

That's a smart idea. I've now added that to the task list.

quote:

3) <pages>, which might expand to the total number of pages in the formatted part, enabling me to annotate a part with something like 'Page 2 of 3' or whatever...

That's an obvious field that wasn't obvious to me. I've now added it to the task list also.

Thanks for these suggestions!

Cheers
