MidiNottae Composer Pro includes extensive support for MIDI System Exclusive (SysEx) messages. SysEx is used for saving and restoring the sound configuration of a MIDI device, typically a MIDI keyboard. If you have prepared certain patches on your MIDI keyboard or soundsynth, you can use a Dump SysEx command to send the patch information from you MIDI device to Composer Pro.
Composer Pro will save the SysEx information in the NoteSoft .not file. When you later re-open the .not file, Composer Pro will give you an opportunity to download the SysEx patch information to your MIDI device. That way, you can restore the exact sounds you prepared for the particular NoteSoft .not file song.
You can also import and export SysEx data in standard .syx files that other MIDI sequencers support.
