I know nothing about midi files. I read that MidiNotate can print a score from a file on the Internet. Can I use it to print the score of a midi file that someone sent me as an email attachment? I would like to know this before I bother to download the trial version. Thanks, and sorry about my ignorance. Diane J |

Hello, Diane Yes, you can use MidiNotate to print the score of a MIDI file that someone has send to you in an email attachment. When you install MidiNotate, you can choose to make it your default program for opening and playing MIDI files. If you do this, then you probably can double-click the name of the MIDI file, as displayed as the email attachment, and then MidiNotate will automatically start, open the MIDI file, and display it as sheet music. If the above does not work, then use the "Save Attachment As File" option in your email program to save the MIDI file in a directory that you should remember. Then the File / Open command in MidiNotate to open the file in the directory that you have remembered. Cheers -- Mark (the developer of MidiNotate) |

I am somewhat ilerate with computers so please bear with me. I downloaded the trial version of MidiNotate and printed out the Getting Started Information. However, my interest in MidiNotate and whether I choose to purchase or not is the following: I want to be able to request a specific chart e.g. Peg O'My Heart for example and see and print the sheet music to that song. Of course I have many, many other songs that I would like to see and print the sheet music to. This then is why I want MidiNotate. Can I do this and very importantly, step by step how do I do this. (remember I am not very computer literate). Thanks, John |

Hello, John A very place to start in your search for MIDI song files is to choose the Download MIDI Files from Internet command in MidiNotate's File menu. Please let me know if this does, or doesn't, get you off to a good start. Cheers -- Mark (the developer of MidiNotate) |
