Hi, Norman:

If you go to the "Parts" menu of Composer, you'll see the "Prepare Easy Notes" entry ('qpen' is the key shortcut). Simply follow the series of dialogue boxes there.

In Musician, it's actually just one dialogue box with three options, so that's even simpler.

Good luck.

David

Also, in Composer and Musician 1.1.2 or later, you can use the Format menu's command Display 'Easy Notes' For Selected Staves.\

I have followed these instructions (as I did the first time I used composer/ musician BUT note names A, B, C, D, E, F, G DO NOT appear inside note heads. Am I missing some obvious step?

Howdy Norman,

You're right - I just tried to make an Easy Notes part in a file, and it's not working for me either, and I've done this a zillion times before.

So no, you're not missing anything :-)

ttfn,
Sherry

Hi, guys:

Interesting. I think it got broke between V1.09 and now, Mark. I sent my above message using 1.09, where it worked, then have since downloaded 1.1.3 and I don't get the note names in the noteheads.

I smell 1.1.4 coming up. :-)

Hello Norman, Sherry, and David,

I've confirmed that the 'Easy Note' note letters are not correctly displayed in the noteheads.

Yeah, David, 1.1.4 might be coming up sooner than I had planned.

Cheers

Hello John,

What do you mean by "something is stuck on letters"?

Cheers
