Hello Notation Composer and Musician Users: Notation Composer and Musician version 2.1.1 is a maintenance release for Windows Vista users. It fixes some unwanted error messages that Notation reports under Vista that it cannot find or create a \Users\yourname\AppData\Notation\Composer (or Musician) directory. If you are using version 2.1 of Notation Composer or Musician and use the Software Update command in the Help Menu, then your copy of the software will be automatically updated to version 2.1.1. This will happen regardless of whether you are running under Windows Vista or another other version of Windows, such as XP or Windows 98. It is not necessary for you to update to version 2.1.1 if you are not using Vista or not having any problems under Vista with Notation. Cheers -- Mark | ||

Hello Hervé, There is a known problem that for some users, the Help / Software Update command does not work, going from version 2.1 to 2.1.2. In that case, please follow the instructions at www.notation.com/Redownload.htm for re-downloading an entire new copy of Notation Musician 2.1.2 (or Composer 2.1.2). You should be able install it "on top" of your copy of Notation Musician 2.1, without having to restart Windows. However, if Musician 2.1.2 doesn't run after installing it, please do try restarting Windows. Cheers -- Mark |
