Howdy folks,

Phil had posted the following, which somehow got lost:

quote:

Hi

When I print music the default is "letter" which takes the staves almost to the edge of the paper. When I go to Format/Setup and change the default to A4 the program crashes completely. Does anyone have a workaround for this problem ?

Philip Baker

This is probably a printer driver issue for your printer. Please check the manufacturer's website for your printer, to see if there are any updated drivers that you can install.

If this doesn't solve the problem, do let us know.

ttfn,
Sherry

Hi, Sherry, Phil:

I was going to post a reply to that, but got sidetracked.

Phil, I did some testing with my setup and had no trouble changing from one type of page size to another, so I have to agree with Sherry that the problem may lie outside of Composer.

A re-boot also tends to work wonders for odd types of crashes.

Good luck.

David

Howdy,

Just as a note to any interested parties, I always run a test on my setup when such problems are reported, to see if I can reproduce the problem with any Notation software. Only then do I point folks elsewhere :-) There is always the chance that a problem may be with our software in a different environment, and so we always welcome feedback to help us figure that out, as well.

ttfn,
Sherry

I had moved this forum post to: here to better classify it. This was on the subject of "Tips on Using the Forum."

By the way, I hope in the next month or two to completely reorganize this forum to something much more simple, with only two levels of classification.

Cheers

Howdy,

Ahhhh.... I go on vacation, and he rearranges things on me ;) I was following the link in the notification email, and thus didn't see the new location. I should have searched first.

Organization in general is a very good thing ;) Proceed....

ttfn,
Sherry
