This is a special opportunity for a skilled Windows C++ developer who would love to fulfill his or her dream of combining software development expertise with musicianship and entrepreneurship:

• Envision a notation-based software product for musicians, that would be build on top of Notation Software's core notation, MIDI, and GUI technology.
• Research the market opportunity for the musician software product that you envision.
• Jointly prepare with founder Mark Walsen a development and marketing plan for this new Notation product family member.
• Leverage more than 10 man-years of Notation Software's code that has been well-designed for reuse.
• Contribute to the core code-base to implement additional features that your product requires.
• Customize your product's GUI that sits on top of Notation Software's technology.
• Get to the market quickly with your product idea, by avoiding reinvention of the underlying notation and MIDI technology.
• Leverage Notation Software's marketing to efficiently introduce your Notation family member product to the market.
• Optionally co-market your Notation family member product to further increase its success.
• Share in the profits for your Notation family member product!

This is a partnership position, in which you would share both the risks and rewards of the investment of your development efforts with Notation Software.

Notation Software is seeking a marketing partner who will develop new marketing channels that best reach the target of everyday musicians-- hobbyists and semi-professionals, for whom music is an important part of their lives. The opportunity for success is excellent, as Notation Software sales have been steadily increasing in spite of relatively passive Internet-based marketing efforts.
