Using Web Page Bookmarks

After visiting a web page, you might wish to remember its location to easily return to it at some later date. For the purpose of saving and returning to web page locations, Musician provides a bookmark feature, similar to the Favorites feature of Microsoft Internet Explorertm or the Bookmark feature of Mozilla Firefoxtm.

You can organize web pages into folders according to categories you find useful. For example, you might want to establish separate folders for each band, artist, or composer for which you are collecting MIDI files. You can also create folders within folders.

There is also one Unclassified Bookmark folder. You can quickly add web pages to this folder, and take a little time later to reclassify the web pages into folders.

prcarrow To add a web page to the Unclassified Bookmark folder:

1.In the browse window, navigate to the web page that you wish to save.
2.In the Bookmark menu of the browse window, choose the Save Unclassified Bookmark command. Musician will then display a Save Bookmark dialog box.
3.In the Save Bookmark dialog box, you can save the bookmark with the title chosen by the author of the web page, or you can change the title. Click OK to save the bookmark.

prcarrow To add a web page to a previously created folder:

1.Navigate to the web page that you wish to save.
2.In the Bookmark menu of the browse window, choose the Save Bookmark in Folder command. It will list your top level folders. If the folder has sub-folders, while still holding the mouse button down, move the mouse over the parent folder name.
3.Release the mouse button while the mouse is located on top of the folder where you want to save the web page. Musician will then display a Save Bookmark dialog box.
4.In the Save Bookmark dialog box, you can save the bookmark with the title chosen by the author of the web page, or you can change the title. Click OK to save the bookmark.

prcarrow To add, remove, and rearrange folders:

1.In the Bookmark menu of the browse window, choose the Edit Bookmarks command. It will display your list of folders, sub-folders, and web pages within each folder.
2.To add a top level folder, click "Bookmarks" at the top of list of folders. Then choose New Folder from the Add menu. In the Bookmark Folder dialog, enter the name of the new top level folder.
3.To add a sub-folder, click the parent folder name. Then choose New Folder from the Add menu and continue as in step 2.
4.To remove a folder, click it and choose Delete Folder from the Delete menu, or hit the DelKey key.
5.To make an existing folder a sub-folder of another folder, while holding the mouse button down, drag the sub-folder on top of the new parent folder and then release the mouse button. The dragged folder will become the first sub-folder of its new parent folder.
6.To move a folder to the first sub-folder position below its parent folder, drag that folder on top of the parent folder.

TIP: To add a web page to a folder, it is easier to navigate to the web page and use the Save Bookmark in Folder command of the Bookmarks menu.

3.To remove a web page from a folder, click the bookmark title, and choose Delete Bookmark from the Delete menu, or hit the DelKey key.
4.To rename the title of a bookmark, click the bookmark title, and choose Bookmark Info in the Edit menu. In the Bookmark dialog, edit the title.
5.To move a bookmark from one folder to another, hold the mouse down over the bookmark name and drag it to the new folder.
