Musician defines a measure as all the music that is played from one barline to the next, across all staves. Musician enables you edit measures as a whole in the following ways:

B847Delete measures.
B847Split a measure with a new barline into two smaller measures.
B847Join two measures by removing the barline that separates them.
B847Create an upbeat measure, which has less that the full count of beats for the following meter.
B847Specify the periodic numbering of measures, such as showing the measure number of every fifth measure.
B847Use multiple measure rests to collapse two or more measures that are rests only.
