Bach MIDI Files
A list of the best web sites hosting MIDI files of Bach's music.
You can turn any of these files into free sheet music with easy-to-use MIDI software.

A Johann Sebastian Bach MIDI Page - This extensive site by Bryen Travis has a wonderful collection of Bach pieces.

Kunst der Fuge - Bach - Extensive collection of Bach's music, including: harpsicord, organ, lute, chamber, and cannons.

The Classical Archives - Bach - This is the most extensive collection of Bach MIDI files available. In order to use the site, you will need to register, which allows you to download five files a day. For essentially unlimited usage of the site, you will pay $25/year. The documentation on how to use this tremendous site is well organized and easy to find. The MIDI files here are of excellent quality.

J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier - This page contains MIDI files sequenced by Yo Tomito. The excellent quality sequences of Preludes and Fugues 1-24 are presented in a table and they are easy to download individually, while there is also a ZIP file that contains all the pieces. Near the top of the page there is a link to another interesting page where there are variants of all the pieces.

The Bach Chorales - This active site has more than 400 Bach chorales and a good bit of information about them. All 403 files can be downloaded as a zip file, or you can find individual works. Be sure to scroll down and look at everything this site has to offer.

Bach Organ Works - This site by NOM Classical has organ arrangements for a number of Bach works. Click on the colored .mid file names to access the files.

Dave's J. S. Bach Page - David J. Grossman owns this well-organized page with a variety of Bach works. Click on the name of the group of pieces that you are interested in to access a page where the MIDI files are listed individually.

The J.S. Bach Page at MidiWorld - Here is an extremely extensive list of works, well-categorized and easily downloaded. The various contributors are acknowledged alongside their sequences. The is a nice gathering of sequences from a good many dispersed personal pages.

Classical Guitar MIDI Archives J.S. Bach - This site has a large number of transcriptions and arrangements of works for the guitar, including most of the clavier works. Scroll down to find the title that you are interested in.

Johann Sebastian Bach - Sonatas for Harpsichord, Violin, Flute, Viola, Figured Bass - This is Bruno de Giusti's Bach page, with some nicely done sequences which are easily downloaded.

J.S. Bach MIDI Orgel - This German page has a number of Bach's organ works. Be sure to click on the title itself to download the MIDI of each piece, as there is a different link for the mp3 file.
