Showing and Hiding Types of Text
For a given score part, you can hide any of the following types of objects: lyrics, chord names, and rehearsal marks. For example, you might want to remove the chord names from the top of staves except for piano and guitar parts. Another reason you might want to hide these text objects is to temporarily create more room in the Composer window to view and edit other types of objects.
To toggle whether a type of object is hidden or shown in the currently viewed part:
1. With the mouse, navigate to the palette for the type of text.
-- OR --
Type SHIFT+L, SHIFT+C, or SHIFT+R for the Lyrics, Chord Names, or Rehearsal Mark Palette.
2.
In the text palette, toggle the Show/Hide Type of Object
button.
-- OR --
Type "qsl", "qscn", or "qsr" for Quick Show (or Hide) Lyric, Chord Name, or Rehearsal Mark.
