Show/Hide Palette Button
When the palette is displayed, but no object has been selected, the Show/Hide Palette button in the toolbar may look like this:

The button image is intended to suggest a column of palette buttons. You can toggle this button to show or hide the palette.
In Add Mode, the image in this button reflects the type of object you have prepared in the palette for adding. For example, if you have prepared the palette for adding an accent, the Show/Hide Palette button will look like this:

Similarly, in Select Mode, if you select an object, the Show/Hide Palette button will indicate the type of object you have selected. The palette will offer you options for editing the object.
