Select Track

If you click the Select Track SelectTrackButton.gif button among the track controls, Composer will select the entire track as the current region.

Alternatively, if some notes are already selected in a track, or if some region of the track is already selected, you can use the Select Track command in the Note or Region menu, or type "st" for "select track".

As another alternative, if the track controls are not visible, and you do not wish to display them, use the right mouse button to click an empty area of one of the track's staves. Composer will display a pop-up menu in which you can choose the Select Track command:

Composer displays a gray background for the entire selected track. You can then use commands that edit the entire track. Commands that edit the entire track are located in the Edit, Region, and Track menus.

If you want to apply commands to more than one track at a time, you can select more than one adjacent track using the Select Track controls for the respective tracks.

Generate/prcarrow.gif To select the entire range of one or more adjacent tracks:

Generate/B8.gif      Click the Select Track button among the track controls to select one track. While holding down the SHIFT key, click another track to select it and all of the other tracks between it and the first selected track.
