Renaming a Part

The Extract Parts command assigns the track name to its respective extracted part. The Part Preparation Wizard assigns default names to the newly prepared parts: Sing-Along Part, Easy Notes Part, or Fake Book Lead Sheet.

The name of a part is what you will refer to when you select a part for viewing or printing. Therefore, it is important that the parts have names that make sense to you.

Also, the name of a part is displayed with the special page text field "<partname">, as described in Standard Page Text Such as Page Number. Therefore, you may want to rename a part so that it is displayed as you want it in the printed score part.
