Preparing Parts
In Composer, a "part" displays the notes for one or more tracks. A part can be formatted and paginated independently of other parts extracted from the conductor's (entire) score. A given track can be displayed in more than one part. For example, usually a track is shown in both the conductor's part ("conductor's score") and a separately formatted part for just that instrument.
When two or more parts share the same tracks, any changes to notes or annotations in the track are automatically reflected in all of the parts. For example, if you change a note in the piano staff of the conductor's score, that note change will automatically be reflected in the separately printable piano part.
If you have not done so yet, it is highly recommended that you read the topic Understanding Tracks, Staves, and Parts.
