Extracting Parts from the Conductor's Score
In Composer, a part displays the notes for one or more tracks. A part can be formatted and paginated independently of other parts extracted from the conductor's (entire) score.
You can prepare several parts at a time, one per each track of the song, by following the procedure below.
If you want to prepare a part that has two or more tracks, then use the Select Part command in the Part menu.
If you want to prepare specially formatted parts with lyrics, chord names, and/or easy notes (large notes with pitch letters displayed in the noteheads), then follow the instructions in Wepizard for Praring Part.
To extract several parts at once, one part per track:
1. Choose Extract Parts command in the Part menu.
-- OR --
Type "qexp" for Quick Extract Parts.
Composer will display the Extract Parts dialog box, such as illustrated here:

2. Click entries in the listbox to select or unselect tracks for which separate parts will be created.
3. Click the OK button.
Each extracted part will be assigned the same name as that of the track. To rename a newly extracted part, follow the instructions in Renaming a Part.
