Classics for Kids - This site, by Cincinnati Classical Public Radio, Inc., hosts an online version of their regular "Classics for Kids" programs. Other useful information includes their online Musical Dictionary, and especially their Instruments of the Orchestra section.
DSO Kids - The Dallas Symphony Orchestra kids' site is easy to use even for very young musicians. They have a wide range of information and activities for kids, from projects to do at home - such as making a xylophone - to musical games which make learning about various composers and genres of music lots of fun.
New York Philharmonic KidZone - This site is very easy for young musicians to navigate, and features such sections as the Instrument Storage Room, where kids can learn about the instruments of the orchestra and easily hear samples of those instruments.
